Futura Seoul launches the pre-order for the English edition of A Concise Atlas of Es Devlin.

Es Devlin's practice begins with a lifelong commitment to reading and drawing.
Poetry, plays, song lyrics, opera librettos, climate reports, and lists of endangered species.

Sketches made in the margins of texts, meticulous miniature paintings, and small paper models become the seeds of monumental works— from kinetic stage designs for the Metropolitan Opera to the Olympic Opening Ceremony, the Super Bowl Halftime Show,
and landmark stage sculptures for Beyoncé, Rosalía, and Kendrick Lamar.

Over the past decade, her work has expanded to embrace biodiversity, linguistic diversity, and collective poems written with AI.
This latest archive brings together three decades of Devlin's creative journey, shaped by her vision of the audience as a "temporary society."

Published alongside her 2023 retrospective at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York,
this compact edition succeeds the acclaimed first volume, An Atlas of Es Devlin.

  • 942 pages, featuring approximately 1,000 color images
  • Includes 28 of Es Devlin's most recent projects
  • Features interviews with collaborators including Pharrell Williams, Bono, Brian Eno, and Carlo Rovelli, alongside artwork commentaries written by Es Devlin herself
  • Compact format (13 × 13.8 cm), designed to fit comfortably in the hand
